Finances

Citizen Advocacy of Atlanta & DeKalb, Inc. funds are used for program costs and are of direct benefit to residents of DeKalb County and the City of Atlanta. Following are sources of our financial support:

  1. First and foremost, our funding comes from local people supporting citizen advocacy as a community organization. The people of Atlanta and DeKalb hold our mission and help guide our work.
  2. Citizen Advocacy of Atlanta and DeKalb holds a contract with the Georgia Advocacy Office that provides financial support for portions of the work involved in recruiting, matching, and supporting our neighbors in citizen advocacy relationships.
  3. Community organizations, local and state foundations, businesses, professional associations, and congregations also contribute funds that help support our mission.

We are a small, local non-profit. We have just two paid staff people. Compared to other Atlanta-based non-profits we have a very small operating budget. Your donation will go a long way in supporting the important contributions citizen advocacy makes to our community.
